Plans. His way.

Sort of had a bumpy ride, not as we planned, but all has worked out and we have faith things will continue to work out.  Trusses were fixed and put back up and the house was "dried in" the first of December.  Weather has once again made things a little difficult but we have faith and know things will be just fine.  So here we are, January, 2019.  Counting our blessings!

Been too busy to blog but I will try my best to throw it together and pick the main stuff.  I've taken lots of photos throughout the process.  So many, it's hard to choose from.  We worked on the electric, plumbing, heat and air, and all the porches and roof are done.  Doors and windows have been delivered and are in the barn, waiting to go in.  We framed-in the fireplace and completed other framing details to get ready for sheetrock.  Such a great feeling to see the progress.

Here's a few photos of this busy process over the past two months:

The fallen trusses after they were put back up:

This photo reminds me of the phrase, "Phoenix rising from the ashes".  The re-built trusses glowing in the sunrise.  That story is similar to our challenges.  Granted, it could have been much worse and we are so thankful.  But just a good reminder, "This too shall pass".  Give it to God, because everything always works out, and often times, for the better!

The completed roof before the porches:

Back patio construction:

One of my favorite photos at this time.  I love the reflection of the house in the pond.

Amidst the construction on the outside, we worked away tirelessly inside whenever possible.
Often times while the weather did it's winter thing.

Thank goodness for heaters.
I took this opportunity to bless our house by writing scriptures throughout.
Here are some of my favorites:

Framing in the fireplace, we made a "TV" proportional to our real TV out of paper to be sure we would be happy with the height.  I'm such a visual person, thankfully Country Boy understands me.

Our Dally and Kodi, always by our side.

My sweet mom, braving the cold with us one evening.

Everyone helped with the electric work:

Country boy built the arch wall in the master bath where my claw tub will go.

I love it!  Can't wait to see it all finished.
This will be one of my favorite places, besides the back porch, of course.

Speaking of back porch, here's some neat pictures I took from it, and of it:

We dug the water line and got water to the house, along with the propane line.
Things are moving along nicely.  We are now ready for shingles!

Although the porches don't have all the finished details, here's some recent pictures.

Ready to meet with the cabinet maker and hire for sheetrock and get the brick layers lined out.
Till next time!
