February and Old Man Winter

February brought the roof shingles, along with ice and snow.

Our new shingles experienced their first ice, snow, sleet, and rain, all in one month.  Here is a look at the month of February.  One of the coldest in a long time.

Delivering the shingles and getting them ready to be put on the roof:

Family and friends helped put on the new shingles.  So thankful and grateful to have such wonderful people to help.

They did an awesome job!

More work on the back porch:

So much fun, cutting out the windows and doors!

I noticed the horses and had to take a pic.  What a great view from the inside looking out!

As family helped cut out the windows, Country Boy ran electric wire to the porches.

So excited to see the view, we had to document the success.

This is what the back porch is all about.  The view.

Roof is all done, ready to put the doors and windows in!

heaven and pour blessings upon you.

Got the doors and windows in just in time for Old Man Winter to sock it to us.

Finished up electric all while staying bundled up.  Such a cold time, working on the house, but so worth it.

So thankful for our parents, couldn't have done this without them!

Next up - Insulation and walls!

Everything prepped and ready for the spray foam insulation:

Pretty neat to watch but what a mess.  This group was awesome, worked all day till late at night till they got done and made my clean up easy by packing up what they shaved off.

The next day - all done with the spray foam.

Now for our job, putting insulation within some inside walls.

But first, ice and snow, and the opportunity to take some neat pictures.

My favorite picture taken the evening of my birthday.

Next up - Sheetrock, taping and texturing.
